Oxidized apple

Have you heard of Antioxidants

It seems every consumable product we purchase or see advertised highlight the amount of Antioxidants in it. Antioxidants kill Free Radicals which cause Oxidative Stress (the root cause of over 200 diseases). Have you ever seen an apple turn brown after it’s sliced? That’s Oxidation (Oxidative Stress) and as you age your cells Oxidize.

All mammals get Oxidative Stress because of the air we breathe, the food we eat, and our environment. Unless you have an autoimmune issue or are an athlete (both have more Oxidative Stress) our bodies naturally take care of Free Radicals until we get around 20 years old–in dogs around 2 years.

What causes Oxidative Stress

Oxidative Stress occurs when free radicals, which are charged molecules created by metabolic processes to create energy, accumulate in the body’s cells at rates exceeding the body’s ability to neutralize them. These charged molecules are attracted to the opposite charge in cellular structures to become neutral, balanced. In so doing they may pull off parts of these structures, such as DNA, altering or damaging their function and even creating more free radicals. Thus, Oxidative Stress, Free Radical damage, is associated to what we know as aging.

Oxidative Stress & The Normal Aging Process

Oxidative Stress is a fact of life. Or perhaps we should say it is a fact of death. Every living organism that uses oxygen in its metabolic processes to create energy has some degree of Oxidative Stress. Life cannot exist without the ability to create and use energy to drive cellular and physiological functions. But Oxidative Stress is a major contributor to the normal aging process.

What can you do and what did we do to slow aging

Eating a good healthy diet full of antioxidants can help. But to create the strongest defense against Free Radicals, your body needs to activate its body system that creates powerful antioxidant enzymes.

We daily take a powerful product that tells our body to start making hundreds of different protective molecules, including antioxidant enzymes, whenever our cells are under stress. It stimulates our body’s response to cellular stress by supporting the normal clean-up process for damaged cells, maintaining healthy cell function, and activating a response that protects cells against future stress.

Some helpful tips that trigger your body’s antioxidant enzyme production system

    1. Get active!
    2. Eat the right variety of foods (blueberries, onions, broccoli, cabbage, apples—remember a “rainbow”).
    3. Take a product that boosts your system with properly balanced phytonutrients (nutrients found in plants that combine to activate your cellular system even further than when the nutrients are consumed alone).

What’s does this mean to your health

You can either take antioxidants or find a way for your body to make antioxidants to kill Free Radicals

• When you take one antioxidant it kills one Free Radical.

• If you can increase your body’s production of making an antioxidant enzyme like superoxide dismutase (SOD) one antioxidant enzyme can be used over and over to remove thousands of Free Radicals!

This means that if you really want to get rid of the Free Radicals that jump start the aging process in your body, you need to figure out how to get your body to produce more antioxidant enzymes. We take a product that kills 1 million Free Radicals every second 24/7.
